Qatar’s prime minister has delivered a blunt message from the Gulf to Iran: The attacks must stop.

Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani described Iran’s strikes on Qatar's neighbours as a “dangerous miscalculation” - and warned the war could escalate, destabilising the region and sending shockwaves through the global economy.

Speaking to the media for the first time since Qatar came under missile and drone attack, he told Yalda Hakim Iran had "betrayed" Qatar and its Gulf neighbours, calling for Tehran to de-escalate.
