The foreign secretary Yvette Cooper tells Sky's Trevor Phillips that most of the people trapped in the Middle East will be returned on commercial airlines.
The minister confirms that she has had meetings with the head of Emirates and British Airways to discuss the situation.
She says the number of flights has already been ramped up in recent days, and tens of thousands of people have returned to the UK - especially from Dubai, where a lot of British people are based.
