Israel has launched new missile barrages at Tehran and Hezbollah targets in Beirut on the sixth day of the war.

Iran has also launched a fresh wave of attacks against Israel and US targets in the Middle East, with a US oil tanker reportedly on fire in the Gulf and the UAE intercepting 131 drones over its airspace.

Iran warned the US it would "come to regret" sinking an Iranian warship in the Indian Ocean yesterday. The IRIS Dena, carrying 130 sailors, sank after a torpedo hit, killing at least 87 people.

In the UK, Sir Keir Starmer has defended the UK's military response to the war amid mounting criticism about the country's preparedness and announced four Typhoon jets will go to Qatar.
