Israeli artillery shelling has been reported in Khan Younis and the centre of the Gaza Strip.
Palestinian officials say at least six people have been killed in Israeli strikes, including three children and a journalist.
Some of the attacks hit makeshift shelters housing displaced families.
Israeli fire has killed more than 640 Palestinians since a US-brokered ceasefire came into effect in October.
Crossings into Gaza remain largely closed, aid supplies are scarce and basic goods are beginning to disappear from local markets.
