Iran denies firing missile towards Turkiye as border crossings continue

Iran's armed forces have denied firing any missiles towards Turkish territory after Ankara said a ballistic missile was fired from Iran on Wednesday. Turkiye's defence ministry said NATO air defence systems intercepted the missile over the eastern Mediterranean, with no casualties or damage reported. Despite the diplomatic incident and rising tensions inside Iran, life on the 530-kilometre Turkiye-Iran border remains largely ordinary, with crossings continuing as usual and no extra security measures in place.

Al Jazeera's Sinem Koseoglu reports from Kapukoy on the Turkiye-Iran border.
