Israel has launched a series of strikes on Lebanon’s capital, saying it is targeting infrastructure linked to Hezbollah.
Lebanese authorities say more than 600 people have been killed by Israeli attacks across the country since early March.
Lebanon’s prime minister called the strikes unacceptable, announced a presidential initiative for negotiations, and urged the army to establish full state control to prevent the country becoming a battleground for others’ wars.
